ECU Remapping for Turbo Diesels
Stage 1 through to Stage 3, EGR/DPF/AdBlue solutions, speed limiter changes and sound maps — all built around software-based remapping, tailored to your vehicle rather than a generic file off the shelf.
Choose the level that suits your vehicle
Every remap is built for the individual car — figures below are typical examples only. Head to the calculator for a gain estimate specific to your vehicle, then get in touch for an affordable price.
Stage 1
Software only · no hardware changes needed
- Works within standard hardware limits
- Improved throttle response
- Can improve fuel economy when driven the same way
- Fully reversible — original file always backed up
Stage 2
For vehicles with supporting mods
- Best with upgraded intercooler, exhaust or induction
- Bigger gains than Stage 1 across the rev range
- Tune matched to your supporting mods
- Original file backed up before any work
Stage 3
Built around bigger hardware upgrades
- For turbo, injector, clutch & supporting upgrades
- Fully custom, vehicle-specific tune
- Discussed and built around your setup
- Best suited to modified & track-driven vehicles
EGR, DPF & AdBlue (SCR) Work
EGR, DPF and AdBlue/SCR software solutions can be carried out where a vehicle has a genuine mechanical fault, or for vehicles used off-road or in motorsport. These changes affect a vehicle's emissions output and road-legal status, so they're discussed honestly with you before any work is booked in.
- EGR valve software solutions
- DPF software solutions
- AdBlue / SCR system solutions
Disabling or removing an emissions control device (EGR, DPF or AdBlue/SCR) is illegal for a vehicle used on public roads in the UK and will fail an MOT emissions check. This work is offered strictly for off-road, motorsport or non-road-legal use, or to correct a genuine fault as part of a repair. It is the vehicle owner's responsibility to ensure the vehicle remains compliant, insured and road-legal for its intended use. We're happy to talk this through honestly before you book anything in.
Aggression level is set to suit you and your vehicle — from a subtle crackle to a full motorsport-style sound map, paired with your remap stage.
A bit more drama from the exhaust
On petrol vehicles, pops and bangs tuning adjusts the fuelling map on lift-off throttle to produce crackles, pops and the occasional bang from the exhaust — without hurting how the car drives day to day.
Turbo diesels don't produce the same overrun pops, so instead there's a popcorn limiter (hard-cut) map — a controlled fuel cut at the rev limiter that gives a distinctive popping, anti-lag style stutter. Both are mapped alongside your chosen remap stage, with the aggression level set to suit you.
As with any tune that increases exhaust noise, this can affect roadworthiness/MOT if set too aggressively for road use — we'll set this up sensibly and talk you through it.
Speed limiter removal, adjustment & addition
Whether it's removing a factory or fleet-imposed speed limiter, raising an existing limit, or adding a limiter to a vehicle (useful for young or new drivers, or fleet/commercial vehicles), this is done as part of the remap file.
Removal / Increase
Remove or raise a factory, fleet or commercial vehicle speed limiter as part of your remap.
Addition
Add a speed limiter to a vehicle — popular for new drivers, work vehicles or fleet policy.
